Friends for going on a decade, our core team met as teenagers going to gigs in music venues in town. Being part of a tight-knit community amplified what we had always believed about the city, a place full of creativity with a strong sense of solidarity and pride.

Invigorated by Jeremy Corbyn’s run as the leader of the Labour Party, we became highly engaged with left-wing politics. These values we held encouraged us to pursue a career in journalism, where we can tackle issues head on.

In creating Bombed Out!, we aim to create high-quality, informative content whilst focusing on political education and uplifting voices in an industry which often sidelines and villainises minority groups.
